Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) Compliance Policy -
Eventum  Optimum

Our Commitment to Compliance

At Eventum Optimum, we are committed to meeting our obligations under Australia's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) legislation.

From 1 July 2026, changes to the AML/CTF regime require accounting firms that provide designated services to implement and maintain comprehensive compliance programs designed to prevent money laundering, terrorism financing, and other financial crimes.

As part of these obligations, we have implemented robust AML/CTF policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.

What This Means for Our Clients

To comply with our legal obligations, we may request information and documentation from you, including but not limited to:

  • Identity verification for individuals and entities.

  • Information regarding beneficial owners and controlling persons.

  • Details regarding the nature and purpose of your business or transactions.

  • Supporting documentation to verify the source of funds or other relevant information where required.

  • Updated information from time to time as part of our ongoing monitoring obligations.

These requirements are mandated by law and apply to all clients receiving designated services.

AML Compliance Administration Fee

To support the ongoing administration and operation of our AML/CTF compliance program, Eventum Optimum charges an Annual AML Compliance Administration Fee with initial engagement fees.

This fee contributes towards the costs associated with:

  • Client identification and verification procedures.

  • Risk assessment and ongoing client monitoring.

  • Compliance record keeping.

  • AML compliance software and secure verification systems.

  • Staff training and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintaining and reviewing our AML/CTF compliance program.

Your Responsibilities

By engaging Eventum Optimum, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information requested for AML/CTF compliance purposes.

  • Supply any documentation reasonably required to verify your identity or business structure.

  • Notify us of any material changes to your ownership, control, or circumstances that may affect our compliance obligations.

  • Cooperate with any ongoing compliance reviews where required.

Failure to provide the requested information may prevent us from commencing or continuing to provide services, as we are legally prohibited from acting where our AML/CTF obligations cannot be satisfied.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Any personal information collected for AML/CTF purposes is handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and is used solely to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Information is securely stored and only disclosed where required or authorised by law.

Questions

If you have any questions regarding our AML/CTF obligations or the information we request, please contact the Eventum Optimum team. We are happy to explain the process and assist you in meeting these requirements.
